FAQ - Hybrido

Can the Hybrido Domain be mixed with particle-based emitters?

Standard particle fluids and Hybrido fluids are completely different technologies. For that reason, both types can not interact with each other.

What is the GridFluidDomain?

This is the core node of the Hybrido technology. It is the place where the grid-based simulation takes place, and where the secondary effects (splash, foam and mist) are generated.

Do the "k" daemons affect the Hybrido domain?

Yes.

Does Hybrido support (variable) viscosity?

Of course.

What is the process to work with the GridFluidDomain and Splash?

Please visit → "HyFLIP Fluid Simulation" for a workflow description.

Why refuses the "Splash" emitter to create particles?

Please make sure that you have connected the "Splash" emitter to the Hybrido domain in the → "Relationship Editor". The "Splash" emitter can be connected to any daemon too.

Why refuses the "Foam" emitter to create particles?

Please make sure that you have connected the "Foam" emitter to the Hybrido domain in the → "Relationship Editor". Please do not connect the "Foam" emitter to a "Gravity" daemon, because the particles' position is calculated automatically by the Hybrido solver. If you simulate foam particles from → cached splash particles, you can lower the substeps to 1 for the foam generation.
