Preferences and Settings

Before you start to adjust RealFlow to your needs you have to distinguish between three different types:

  • Application preferences are used to configure RealFlow's UI, network settings, folder and file locations, and more. Please open “Preferences” from the main menu.

  • Global simulation preferences are valid for every scene and the settings made here will be used as defaults. These settings can be found in the main menu under File | RealFlow > Preferences > Simulation.

  • Scene simulation preferences are only valid for the project that is currently open. They are also called “Simulation Options" and stored with a project.

In order to edit and change a scene's simulation preferences ("Simulation Options"), click on the small triangle next to "Simulate":
