Splines - Options
Type
Currently, the only type is “Bezier”, but it is also possible to draw linear splines. Please take a look at “Drawing Splines” under → “Quick Start Workflows - Drawing and Editing Splines”.
Closed
Splines can be closed with this option.
Reverse
In order to reverse the control point's direction of indices, please tick this checkbox. The control point's indices can be made visible with Spline node > Node Params > Display > Show CP indexes.
Intermediate points type
Here are your options:
- With “Adaptive”, the intermediate points are set where necessary – RealFlow will always try to create as less points as possible. The number of intermediate points is controlled with “@ angle”. Higher settings decrease the number of points and the curve becomes more edgy. Intermediate points are helper points between the editable control points.
- With “Uniform”, RealFlow creates an even distribution of control points along the entire spline. The number of control points is then controlled with “@ points”. Higher settings add more intermediate points.

EDIT
A click on this button enables the spline's “EDIT” mode – indicated by a yellow frame around the viewport. To move a control point or tangent handle, please hit the W key. Please read the → “Quick Start Workflows - Drawing and Editing Splines" chapter to learn how to work with splines.
@ CP handle smoothness
With “Smooth” both tangents are affected while moving a single handle. When you switch to “Broken” the tangents can be edited separately.
@ CP handle weighting
When set to “Even” both tangents have the same influence on the spline's curvature. With “Uneven” the tangents' influence is treated individually.
