Bubbles - Bubbles Creation

Here, the conditions under which bubbles will be created are defined . The different threshold parameters are related to the Hybrido fluid particles enclosing the bubbles.

Bounded

When this option is set to “No” bubbles will be created everywhere when the threshold parameters are exceeded. Alternatively you can restrict their appearance to a domain with “Yes”. The domain's box can be scaled and positioned freely with the parameters under “Node”.

Emission rate

When you take a look at the emitter's “Particles” panel you will see that it lacks a “Resolution” parameter, because “Emission rate” is used to create particles. The value you enter here is the number of particles which are created per second per cubic metre.

Speed threshold

This parameter is related to the velocity of the surrounding Hybrido fluid particles: if their speed is greater than the given threshold bubble particles will be created. In RealFlow, velocities are always measured in metres per second [m/s].

Vorticity threshold

Bubbles occur when the particles' vorticity value is greater than the adjusted threshold value. Please note that it is not necessary to activate the Hybrido domain's “Vorticity” channel in this case, because this feature will be calculated automatically with the “Bubbles” emitter.

Position variation

With this parameter you can increase or decrease the number of bubble particles. The new particles are created around a bubble seed particle within the given radius. Please note that high values lead to spherical accumulations, which is not always wanted. With rising bubbles, on the other hand, you can create nice effects. This value is measured in metres [m].
