Icon Bar - Tools
Here you have the most important tools right at your fingertips. RealFlow's different tools have been designed to provide a faster workflow, detailed information about nodes and other powerful features. With the "Retime Simulation" tool, for example, it is possible to retime any simulation (grid fluid, standard fluids, rigid and soft body simulation and even RealWave surfaces) without re-simulating the entire scene.
Particle Tooltip
With this tool it is possible to display detailed information about each standard or grid fluid particle. A detailed description can be found here.
Particle Selection
You can create custom particle selection, group or delete them with this handy tool. A detailed description can be found here.
Measure Tool
It is sometimes necessary to get information about a node's volume and surface. The "Measure Tool" displays these data. A detailed description can be found here.
Array Tool
With this feature you can create and arrange large amounts of node with just a few mouse clicks. A detailed description can be found here.
Stitcher Tool
The easiest way to combine Alembic files from different simulations to a single file. A detailed description can be found here.
Fracture Tool - Voronoi Uniform
It is possible to create fragments of any polygon object directly inside RealFlow and export motion and geometry data to your favourite 3D program. This fracture method creates a uniform distribution of pieces controlled by a seed value. A detailed description can be found here.
Fracture Tool - Voronoi By Steering Geometry
You can use any available polygon object as a reference to control the fragmentation process. A detailed description can be found here.
Fracture Tools - Voronoi By Points
Another fragmentation method is to use point clouds, for example particles from RealFlow sources or 3D programs. In the latter case you have to export the particles with appropriate tools, e.g. the exchange plugins, or an appropriate file format like Alembic I/O. The points/particles are used to distribute the fragments and this way it is possible to create custom patterns or break lines along a path. A detailed description can be found here.
Fracture Tool - Voronoi Radial
Impact zones or breaking glass often show a radial web-like pattern. “Fracture Radial” provides various parameters to create such a distribution of fragments. A detailed description can be found here.
Retime Simulation
This tool provides powerful functions to retime any RealFlow simulation (standard and grid fluids, rigid and soft body, RealWave) without re-simulating the scene. It is also possible to create time ramps as well as time-lapse or slow motion effects. Expression support adds a powerful system of mathematical functions to the "Retime Simulation" feature. With the help of a clearly arranged compilation of available export resources you can choose which output resource you want to be affected. A preview function is also available. A detailed description can be found here.
