Simulation Settings

You can decide for each scene element individually whether it should contribute to a simulation or not. Furthermore, it is also possible to load node's already existing simulation data into the current scene – this is the so-called “cache” mode. Cached data will be displayed with all their properties and motions, and they can even affect other scene elements. But, cached nodes cannot be influenced by other members of the scene. To change a node's simulation state, please select one or more nodes and go to:

  • Node > selected node > right-click > Simulation
  • Selected node > icon bar > Simulation
  • Relationship Editor > selected node > right-click > Simulation
  • Selected node > Node Params > Node > Simulation

The rocket icon indicates RealFlow's simulation states - they are available from the icon bar, a node's "Node Params", and various right-click menus.

There are also functions to prevent a node from storing (= caching) simulation data, or activate its export resources:

  • Node > selected node > right-click > Export
  • Selected node > Icon bar > Simulation
  • Relationship Editor > selected node > right-click > Export

Export resources (disk symbols) can be found in the icon bar and a node's right-click menu.
