PE - Particle File
All emitter-related settings can be made here. This includes – amongst others – particle type, frame rate, and scale. The information you can define here is the BIN format's meta information, which is not part of Cinema 4D's particle systems. For this reason these tags have to be included separately.
Fluid Name
By default, you will find the name of the Cinema 4D emitter here, but it can be changed to any other valid name.
Fluid Type
You can choose from “Gas”, “Dumb”, “Liquid”, and “Elastic” – RealFlow's standard fluid types. For more information about differences between these types, please follow the links.
Frame/ sec
This is the frame rate. The standard value corresponds with the Cinema 4D's current settings. If you want to choose a different rate simply use the drop-down menu.
Scene Scale
The value given here is related to RealFlow's scene scale. With a value of 1, everything will be adjusted to match RealFlow's standard scale.
Radius
In RealFlow, particles always have a specific radius which is controlled with an emitter's “Resolution” value. The smaller the radius, the higher the corresponding “Resolution” value. The radius is also responsible for the minimum distance between the particles. The value only plays a role when you want to release the particles in RealFlow at a certain frame. “Released” means that the particles will be controlled by the fluid solver at a given point in time. If the radius is too small the simulation might become unstable. The best way to avoid problems is setting “Fluid Type” to “Dumb”.
Emitter Position [XYZ]
With these values it is possible to define the emitter's position in RealFlow. With a scale of 1.0, 1 unit represents 1 metre in RealFlow.
Emitter Rotation [XYZ]
This is the emitter's rotation in RealFlow measured in degrees.
Emitter Scale [XYZ]
In RealFlow, a SPH emitter has a physical dimension, representing the area of emission in metres. In order to adjust this size you can define the appropriate values here.
Calculate velocity
Cinema 4D's standard particle system does not provide any velocity information. Nevertheless, this attribute can be calculated from changes in position between two frames. If you want to record this channel just enable the checkbox.
