Softimage - Maxwell RFRK Mesher and Maxwell RFRK Particles

The two extensions included with the Maxwell install - Maxwell Mesher and Maxwell Particler are ment to work with .bin particle files created in RealFlow. They provide the same functionality as the standalone RFRK package allowing you to render RealFlow particles in Maxwell Render - either as particle spheres or a mesh created at render time via Maxwell Mesher.

Maxwell Mesher

Click Get>Primitive>Maxwell RFRK Mesher and choose the bin sequence to load. It will be represented as a pointcloud in the viewport, showing the current frame of the sequence. Move the timeline to a frame number contained in the sequence to see the pointcloud. The pointcloud will have a custom attribute panel, MaxwellRFRKMesherAttrs which contains all the controls available. Maxwell RFRK Particles

Click Get>Primitive>Maxwell RFRK Particles and choose a BIN or PXY sequence to load. This extension allows you to render the particles using the Maxwell Render particle sphere primitive.For details on these settings please see the RealFlow documentation - the RFRK_Particler - Particles page.

Example

The same bin sequence has been loaded, once with Maxwell Mesher, once with Maxwell Particler. 6 440 000 particles in total, export time from SI is instant. Image rendered for 2 minutes (including voxelisation time) on one i7 2600K computer.
