Revit - The Maxwell Render Options

The render options dialog lets you customize key aspects in the rendering process. Pressing the Render Parameters button in the Maxwell Ribbon panel will bring up the render parameters customization interface set on the "General" tab.

From here you can tell the plugin to:

  • Save the output files.
  • Set the global scene scales.
  • Set the maximum render time and number of cores used to render.
  • Enable multilight to be able to edit light intensities during the render.
  • Enable multilight readback so the changes you make to lights during the render can be saved in your revit document.
  • Turn light instancing on or off to control if multiple lights of the same type are controlled separately or all at once during a render with multilight enabled.

NOTE: Because light intensity is controlled by the family type in Revit, if light instancing is turned off, only the edits made to the last instance of said type can be saved with Multilight readback.
