ArchiCAD plugin - Referenced MXS Manager

With Referenced MXS items you can reduce the data amount inside your ArchiCAD project without sacrificing the complexity of the rendered image.

To understand why referenced MXS files are useful, please read Referenced MXS files.

In a few steps you can add mxs reference items to your virtual building area.

  1. Click the rightmost button of the Maxwell plugin palette. It will bring up the Referenced MXS Manager.
  2. With the Read MXS file button you can load the mxs scene into the ArchiCAD memory (as a new library item).
  3. Click on the Add MXS item button to put down new Referenced MXS objects on the floor.

Because Referenced MXS items are normal library items, you can also add new instances with the help of the ArchiCAD Object Tool.

If you want you can replace the referenced mxs scene with other mxs files with the Change source file button.

MXS items are displayed with their scene bounding box inside the ArchiCAD 3D or 2D windows. On the following picture you can see the a house.mxs file referenced inside the ArchiCAD project and a simple ArchiCAD wall beside it.
