Installation on Windows

To install Maxwell plugin for ArchiCAD use the installation package provided.

  1. Pick the ArchiCAD version you want to install Maxwell for
  2. Browse for the ArchiCAD install directory.
  3. The installer copies the plugin components Maxwell.gmx and MaxwellController.apx into the Add-Ons/Visualization folder of the ArchiCAD installation.
  4. Start ArchiCAD

Installation on Mac OS X

  1. Unzip the plugin file
  2. Go to the appropriate folder inside the plugin package. (For example ArchiCAD 16 users has to go into the ArchiCAD 16 folder)
  3. Drag Maxwell bundle and MaxwellController bundle into ArchiCAD Add-ons/Visualisation folder.

 

 

Note that once Maxwell add-on files are placed into the Add-on folder of ArchiCAD the add-on will be recognized by ArchiCAD automatically.

 

Once installed properly, Maxwell Controller and Maxwell Rendering Engine will appear in the ArchiCAD Add-On manager.
