Rhino 6 and newer - Post-Process tab
Post-Process tab on Windows (left) and MacOS (right)
Â
This section shows options that are applied to the render as a post-process, like the Tone Mapping, Simulens (for glare and lens effects) and Overlay Text. These options will show the same parameters as in Studio.
Tone Mapping
It allows changing the Color Space of the saved image, the White Point, Tint, Burn, Gamma and Sharpness parameters. They are described here: Tone Mapping
Â
Simulens
It lets you add glare and bloom effects to the image based on the areas with intense lights and the aperture and obstacle maps (Maxwell includes some sample files for that).
For the glare effect to work, adding an aperture map is mandatory (the obstacle map is optional) and the Diffraction checkbox has to be activated.
The Scattering (bloom effect) and Devignetting (darkening or lightening of the corners) features works independently of the rest.
Here you can find a detailed description of each parameter: SimuLens
Â
Overlay Text
It lets you add a descriptive line of text with a background to your renders. The text can contain macros that can work as a timestamp, add the camera name, sampling level, etc.
Here you have more information about the options and macros available: Overlay Text
