... Apply Object Motion Blur?
With objects from SD files, there are two methods to add motion blur. The first method uses Cinema 4D's “Sub-Frame Motion Blur” from the “Render Settings” dialogue. This is a very accurate, but time-consuming technique. For users with just a single computer it can become difficult to render long sequences and “Sub-Frame Motion Blur”.
In such a case you might want to take a look at the “Vector Motion Blur” method:
Every SD-driven object requires a “Motion Blur” tag. There you can adjust the strength of the effect individually. Now, go to the “Render Settings” panel, click on “Effects...”, and choose “Vector Motion Blur”. Since this is a post-process, the results are not as good as with sub-frames, but for previews or pure rigid/soft body simulation it can be a fast alternative. If you want to combine objects with particles/meshes you have to use the “Sub-Frame Motion Blur” effect, because particles and meshes do not support vector-based motion blur.
