RW - Gerstner Deformer

To add this wave deformer, right-click on the "Realwave01" entry in the "Nodes" panel and choose Add Wave > Gerstner.

"Gerstner" creates regular waves with sharp crests.

Active

With “No” the deformer can be disabled temporarily.

Weight

To reduce the influence of a deformer, decrease its weight. Valid settings are between 0.0 (inactive) and 1.0 (full influence).

DirWave

Here the waves’ motion direction is adjusted in degrees.

AmpWave

You can adjust the wave’s height in metres. Higher settings create “sharper” waves, but this is also dependent on “LengthWave”. If the value is too high you will see intersecting “loops”.

LengthWave

This is the distance between the wave crests in metres. Lower values create a denser sequence of waves, while larger ones give you wider gaps.

Speed

Here you can adjust the waves' velocity in metres per second.
