Prefs - Shortcuts
File input field
RealFlow 2014 allows you to define your own shortcuts for almost any command. It is even possible to assign multiple key combinations to a single command. All these settings and definitions have to be stored, of course, and this is done in the “RealFlowShortcuts.xml” file, and here you will find the path to this file. The input field's content will be substituted if you choose another location to store the file. It is also possible to enter a path manually.

A click on this button opens a file browser to choose an alternative location for the XML file.

The "RealFlowShortcuts Environment Variable"
If you are working in a network then it is usually necessary to provide the information from the “RealFlowShortcuts.xml” file globally for all RealFlow installations. This way, all users will have access to the same collection of shortcuts. Of course, it is possible to store the file anywhere and point to it with the “File” button described above. But, for multiple RealFlow licenses this can be a very tedious task. A much more fashionable way is to define an environment variable:
RF_SHORTCUTS_FILE_PATH
For example:
RF_SHORTCUTS_FILE_PATH=/mnt/file_server/realflow/RealFlowShortcuts.xml
When this variable is defined, all RealFlow installations will look for the “RealFlowShortcuts.xml” file under the path specified there.
