Caronte - Fracture Tools

Although these tools do not necessarily require rigid or soft body dynamics features, they are mostly used in combination with Caronte simulations.

Fractured objects play a key role in today's rigid body effects and for this reason, RealFlow provides a complete toolbox to create different types of fragments. It is, for example, possible to create propagating cracks over several objects, describe radial patterns, or impact zones with a higher density of pieces. Supporting geometry helps you to create realistic fracture zones, different random values are used to produce a unique distribution of pieces, even if the same fracture tool is applied to absolutely identical objects.

The “Fracture Tools” can be applied to RealFlow's internal objects, but also to imported geometry including UV coordinates. These texture coordinates will be preserved during the fragmentation process and transferred to the individual pieces.
