TurbulenceFD Plugin

Jawset's TurbluenceFD is not a native part of Cinema 4D. This plugin for the simulation of fire and smoke has to be purchased separately. For more infomation visit http://www.jawset.com.

Particles from RealFlow | Cinema 4D connected to TurbulenceFD.

Direct Connection

TurbulenceFD's version v1.0 Rev1435 or higher has a direct connection to RealFlow | Cinema 4D and it is no longer necessary to convert particles into Thinking Particles. The workflow is straight-forward:

  • Apply a "TurbulenceFD Emitter" tag to a fluid container, or a rigid/elastic deformer.
  • Add a "TurbulenceFD Container", make your settings, and start the smoke/fire simulation.
  • If you encounter problems during the TurbulenceFD simulation we recommend disabling the "Update Editor Time-line" option as shown below.

Thinking Particles Connection

It is still possible to use the Thinking Particles wirkflow, for example if you need to modify RealFlow particles:

  • Go to Fluid > Particles and enable "Create Thinking Particles".
  • Cinema 4D main menu > Simulate > Particle Geometry
  • Cinema 4D main menu > Simulate > Thinking Particles Settings...
  • Create a new Thinking Particles group, and drag to the fluid/rigid/elastic container's Particles > Thinking Particles field.

  • Apply a "TurbulenceFD Emitter" tag to the "Particle Geometry" node, and add a "TurbulenceFD Container", make your settings and start the smoke/fire simulation:

  • In order to avoid potential problems it might be necessary to disable TurbulenceFD's "Update Editor Time-line" option for the simulation:
