Create Array

This handy tool is used to create and arrange a large number of identical objects.

Selected node

This is the name of the object you want to clone.

Array type

Your options are:

  • "Rectangular" arranges the nodes within an imaginary square or box.
  • "Circular" arranges the nodes along a circle.
Number of items X | Y | Z

This is the number of nodes added in each direction.

Items Distance X | Y | Z

There are two modes of operation. With

  • "Rectangular" the values are used to define the space between items in the array
  • Circular” the values define the radius of the circle that is used to clone the nodes along its path. You can specify a radius for each axis to define a maximum of three different circles.
Offset from selected X | Y | Z

These parameters describe the distance from the original node’s position. This translation is relative to the position of the selected node and you can create staggered arrays, for example.

Rotate objects on circular mode

When “Array type” is set to “Circular” the nodes will be rotated and aligned along an imaginary circle, forming a cylindrical shape.

Use selected node as first item

The array will be created from the node currently selected.

Create MultiBody

Instead of many individual nodes, the newly created objects are added to a single MultiBody node.

Add to new Group

Tick this checkbox if you want to add the objects to a group.
