Step 5: Create the Host File
This step is only necessary for users with floating licenses.
You can open Realflow on a client computer that needs to borrow a license from the RLM. When the License Wizard comes up, use the third option; in the next window:
Enter the IP address or network name of the computer where the RLM is running under “Host name”. Use localhost if the RLM is running on that same computer.
By default, the RLM uses port 5053 and this is exactly the number you have to add here.
Click on “Finish” to complete the licensing process.
Alternatively, to establish the connection you also can:
either store a file on every client, called "host.lic" (see table below for the location). This file requires a single entry:
HOST ip_of_computer_with_RLM_installed ANY 5053
or define an environment variable:
nextlimit_LICENSE=5053@ip_of_computer_with_RLM_installed
