Show Key Properties

This function opens a window with information about the selected key. Click → here for a description.

Show Tooltips

Displays a selected key's frame or time value and the corresponding parameter’s dimension.

Horizontal Axis > Show time

When enabled the horizontal axis is measured in seconds.

Horizontal Axis > Show frames

When enabled the horizontal axis is measured in frames.

Set Range

This function opens a new window for defining the visible curve segment:

  • “Min X” and “Max X” is the displayed time range in seconds.
  • “Min Y” and “Max Y” is a parameter's displayed value range.
Reset View

Switch back to the canvas's default view.

Center View to Timeline

Reposition the vertical axis to the centre of the canvas:

  • You can see the same amount of frames in both negative and positive directions.
  • The timeline position will be the centre of your view.
Fit View > Fit View

This option entirely fits the selected curves to the canvas.

Fit View > Fit Horizontal View

This option fits the selected curves to the horizontal axis of the canvas.

Fit View > Fit Vertical View

This option fits the selected curves to the vertical axis of the canvas.

Fit View to Selection > Fit View to Selection

This function fits the selected keys to the canvas. Curve parts outside your selection will not be visible.

Fit View to Selection > Fit Horizontal View To Selection

This option fits the selected keys to the horizontal axis of the canvas.

Fit View to Selection > Fit Vertical View To Selection

This option fits the selected keys to the vertical axis of the canvas.

Snap to Grid > Horizontal Snap

When enabled the mouse cursor snaps in at a particular time. It is also possible to activate “Horizontal Snap” and “Vertical Snap” and then the cursor snaps in at the canvas grid's crossing points.

Snap to Grid > Vertical Snap

When enabled the cursor snaps in at a particular parameter value. It is also possible to activate “Horizontal Snap” and “Vertical Snap” and then the cursor snaps in at the canvas grid's crossing points.

Load Image

You can load an image to the canvas's background. The image is not be saved permanantely and will be lost with the next launch of RealFlow.

Clear Image

Remove the image from the canvas's background.

Toolbar

You can add or remove icon groups from the editor's → toolbar by checking or unchecking categories.
