Installation on Windows

To install Maxwell rendering engine for ArchiCAD use the installation package provided.

  1. Pick the ArchiCAD version you want to install Maxwell for

  2. The plugin components Maxwell.gmx and MaxwellController.apx are copied into Add-Ons/Visualization folder of the ArchiCAD installation.

  3. Start ArchiCAD

Installation on Mac OSX

  1. Unzip the plugin file
  2. Go to the appropriate folder inside the plugin package. (For example ArchiCAD 15 users has to go into the ArchiCAD 15 folder)
  3. Drag Maxwell bundle and MaxwellController bundle into ArchiCAD Add-ons/Visualisation folder.

Note that once Maxwell add-on file is placed in Add-on folder of ArchiCAD the add-on will be recognized by ArchiCAD automatically.

 

Once installed properly, Maxwell Rendering Engine will appear in the ArchiCAD add-on manager.
