This panel is only visible with a → HyFLIP domain present in the scene. It governs and controls the interaction between particles and an object.

Grid friction

A value of 0.0 creates absolutely no friction and a perfectly even surface. Higher settings decelerate the fluid, while 1.0 is the parameter's maximum. “Grid friction” supports → parameter maps.

Friction bandwidth

This parameter is the “Grid friction” parameter's zone of influence given in metres:

  • With 0.5, for example, friction will act on all particles between the object's surface and a distance of 0.5 metres.
  • With 0.0, friction has no influence on the fluid, no matter how high the corresponding "Grid friction" value has been set.
Interaction Factor

With this parameter it is possible to amplify the object's influence on the HyFLIP fluid and create more turbulence. “Interaction factor”

  • accepts any positive value including 0
  • is a very sensitive parameter and should be altered carefully.
