This build is incompatible with Maxwell 2.6.0, and the previous builds are incompatible with the newly released Maxwell 2.6.10. Due to some changes in the extensions (hair, particles etc.) mixing incompatible plug-in and Maxwell versions will cause Softimage to crash on startup. Please make sure you upgrade both the plug-in and Maxwell to the latest version.
Download the plugin installer from the Download Area and unpack it. If you are a Maxwell Render license holder, then please access the Download Area through the Customer Gateway to download the plugin. If you are not a license holder, then please download a free demo version of the plugin at the Maxwell Render website by filling out the application form.
Requirements
The Softimage plugin is currently compatible with:
- Softimage 2011 and above, running on Windows 32/64 bits
Installation
Simply drag & drop the .xsiaddon file to an XSI viewport, or alternatively go to File>Addons>Install and locate the .addon file.
Make sure you use the appropriate xsiaddon file for your Softimage version (Maxwell2012.xsiaddon or Maxwell2011.xsiaddon)
It is not necessary to restart Softimage.
