To get a better understanding of the “Shelves Manager's” functionality, we will create a new shelf together. The task is to make a shelf with RealFlow's Voronoi and MultiJoint tools.

  • Click on the “Add new shelf” button.

  • When you are asked “Would you like to create a new shelf?” confirm with “Yes”.

  • An entry, named “Shelf” appears.

  • Click on “Shelf” to highlight it, and click again to make it editable.

  • Enter “Fracture Tools” as the shelf's name and hit “Return”.

So far, you have only created an empty container, but it does not contain any commands. This is what will be changed now:

  • Go to the “Full RealFlow Command List” panel's input field (next to “Filters...”).

  • Enter “voro” (without quotation marks).

  • Now you will see RealFlow's four "Fracture" tools in the previously empty panel.

  • Select the entries and click on the large button with the triangle between “Selected Shelf Commands” and “Full RealFlow Command List”. Alternatively it is also possible to drag and drop the selection to the “Fracture Tools” shelf or the “Selected Shelf Commands” panel.

Now, the Voronoi tools are part of the new shelf and it is time to proceed with the MultiJoint node:

  • Click on the “Add separator” button. This action will create a separator line between the fracture tools and the MultiJoint node symbol.

  • Go to the “Filter” input field again, and enter “joint – the appropriate node appears.

  • Drag the node to “Fracture Tools” or “Selected Shelf Commands”, or click on the button again.

Finally, import commands for external objects are added:

  • Add another separator

  • Search for “import”

  • Drag the command to the existing list

  • Repeat these steps for “multibody”

If you are not happy with the commands' orders in the middle panel then you can change it by simply shifting the entries with the mouse.

  • Click on “Close”.

The new shelf appears in RealFlow's GUI immediately and is ready to use.

  • No labels
