I use Mac OS X and installed RealFlow in a folder different from "/Applications/RealFlow 2014". I have set the environment variable RF8PATH to point to my actual RealFlow folder, but the Job Node seems to keep searching for it in the wrong place.

OS X's environment variables are different depending on whether you launch an application from the "Finder" or a terminal. The easiest way to solve this issue is to launch the "Job Node" from a terminal:

$ export RF8PATH="YOUR_RF8_PATH"
$ "YOUR_JOB_NODE_PATH/Job Node.app/Contents/MacOS/Job Node"

What ports should I setup in the "Job Manager" settings?

...

Why refuses the "Job Nodes" to work?
  • You need a license for each node you wish to use for simulating RealFlow scenes. Please make sure the license is installed and the node is running.
  • Please also check that the ports in the "Job Manager" application and RealFlow's preferences match, and that they are not blocked by firewalls.
  • The "Job Manager" and "Job Nodes" have to be open for network simulations.
  • Network drives, used for simulations, have to be mounted on all computers involved.
How can I see the "Job Manager" in a browser?

When the "Job Manager" application is running simply go to this link:  http://127.0.0.1:8080/
