Here it is possible to restrict the foam creation process to a given volume – a domain. The bounding box can be scaled with the R key or the “Scale” parameters under “Node”. A bounded domain is also needed when you want to simulate a scene via network with the help of → IDOCs.

From splash

Foam can be created when splash particles enter or hit the core fluid's surface.

A particles' radius ranges between 1 (birth) and 0 (death). Secondary splash particles will be created when a particles' radius is greater than the given value. A particle's radius is controlled with the → "Splash min | max lifetime" parameters.

From domain

With “Yes” the splashes will be created from the core fluid particles. The associated thresholds are used to control the areas of foam emission. Please read the following page to learn how to do preview these areas of emission: → “Quick Start Workflows – Previewing Splash and Foam”.
