The Circle Procedural generates a repeatable tile pattern with a custom circle on it. The repetition of the tile and the circle radius define the coverage. Useful as a color texture or in grey scale as a bump, displacement, weight map or mask texture.

Examples of the Circle procedural in use, both as color texture (left), displacement (middle) and as mask texture (right)

Circle Procedural parameters

  • Blending Factor: Blend percentage of the current procedural with the result of the procedurals below in the stack.
  • Radius U and V: Defines the radius in horizontal and vertical of the circle regarding the tile horizontal and vertical dimensions. Defines the coverage of the circle in the tile.
  • Transition factor: Defines the sharpness/blurriness of the squares transition. Values vary from 0.5 to get a blurry transition up to 1.0 for a crisp sharp transition.
  • Circle and Background color: Defines the colors for the circles and background respectively. Use black, white or grey tones when the circle is used as a mask texture.
