Activating your license manually
The process involves four steps:
1.- Find the Host ID
Normally, the License Activator will show the machine’s host ID as it opens at the top of the window.
If you need to find the host ID for a different machine (for example, in the case you are activating floating licenses), there are other ways of finding the host ID, as explained in the link below.
The Host ID is the MAC address of the first network card and it is composed of 12 alphanumeric characters. Here are some methods to find it: Find your host ID
2.- Set the host ID for your license at the portal
Once you have the Host ID, go to your account at the portal and navigate to My Products > Purchased / assigned products and locate the license you want to activate.
If the Host ID is already set and it doesn’t match the one you found in step #1, you’ll have to contact us to get it released. If the Host ID does match the one you found, proceed to step #3
If the Host ID is not set, you’ll find an orange button to the right of your license. Click on it to set it.
It doesn’t matter if you enter all the characters without spaces, separated by spaces or colons, the system will understand them.
3.- Download the license file
Once you have assigned a Host ID to your license, you are ready to download it. The orange button has turned green. Click on it and the license file will be downloaded in a zip file:
4.- Place the license in the right folder
Once you have downloaded the license file, unzip it and copy-paste it in one of these folders depending on your system’s operating system and your license type:
NODE-LOCKED LICENSES |

Once copied, Realflow | Cinema4D should be licensed without having to use the License Activator again.
Still not working?
In the case of the node-locked licenses, the most common error is having set a wrong host ID.
