Miscellanea (A)
Grid size
By default, RealFlow's → viewport grid consists of 100 x 100 subsidiary squares. Change the number of these squares here.
Square size
By default, each → viewport grid square is 1 m x 1 m. This value determines the squares' new size.
Bolder lines at
Dy default, this option draws a subgrid with stronger lines each 5 metres. To change this raster enter a new value.
Grid Blending
With “On” the grid is clearly visible with strong lines; with “Off” the grid appears slightly darker with finer lines.
Scene lighting
Choose, whether you want one or two light source for illuminating the scene nodes.
Object back face culling
When active hidden faces of polygon objects will not be considered while → navigating the viewport. This option also works with vertex selections, e.g. for “Object” emitters.
Variable particle size on display
Particles closer to the camera are shown as bigger then those far away to achieve a perspective effect.
Display only at frames
By default, the viewport is updated each frame while simulating a scene. If it this option is turned off the update happens within each simulation substep (= very slow).
Use Vertex Buffer Objects
With this option enabled all → viewport actions will be processed much faster. If you can see display problems deactivate VBOs.
Use Shaders
This option is used to accelerate the shading of Hybrido core fluid particles and Hybrido secondary elements. If you experience problems (e.g. black particles) disable this feature.
View colors (B)
Background color 1 | Background color 2
These colours are used to create a gradient in the → viewport.
Grid colour 1 | Grid color 2 | Grid color 3
Here are your options:
- “Grid color 1” represents the origin axes, going through 0,0.
- “Grid color 2” represents the bold 5 m grid lines.
- “Grid color 3” represents the fine 1 m grid lines.
Selection color
When “Selection mode” is set to “Display outline” you will see a frame around the selected object's or mesh's outline. This option specifies the colour of this line.
UI color scheme (C)
Light | Darker | Dark Legacy
Choose the UI's global tone
Contrast
Enhance the UI's readability with this slider.
Display Info (D)
Display info > None | All nodes | Selected nodes
These options define which node information will be displayed in the → viewport's upper left corner (“green list”).
Selection mode (E)
Display wireframe
If you want to show the an object's or mesh's wireframe when selected choose this mode.
Display outline
If you want to highlight an object's or mesh's outline when selected choose this mode. The width of the line is adjusted with the “Width” parameter, its colour with “Selection color” in the “View colors” section.
Width
When “Display outline” is active you can adjust the outline's thickness here.
