Peach Juice - SSS

Fruits and in general all the organic matters have certain amount of Subsurface Scattering, allowing certain amount of light to move inside the matter, but in random paths due the constant collisions with the particles inside the medium. 

A fruit juice is a nice example of material with SSS and it is quite easy to create. Let's try with peach juice: 

Step 1

First think about the substance you want to create as a perfect clean dielectric material. In this case we'll use an orange Transmittance material, Nd=1,33 and Roughness=0. Adjust the Attenuation Distance to get the amount of tint you want for your dielectric. In this case we used 2cm and got a clean orange dielectric.

Step 2

Then simply move down to the Subsurface Properties tab and increase the Coef value. The Coef parameters controls the amount of particles inside the medium. The lower this value, the cleaner the medium (like a dielectric), and the higher this value, the more particles in the medium (more SSS). In this case, 800 works fine. 

Adjust this parameter to get the "density" you want and that's it!

If you dont' want the shiny clearcoat, simply set Reflectance90 to pure black and keep Force Fresnel disabled.
