As explained under → “UI ElementsPanels and Windows” it is possible to configure RealFlow's layout to your needs: panels can be added and/or changed in size, and rearranged. All these changes are only temporary though, so they have to be saved:

The default place for the layout files is located in RealFlow's program directory and specified under “Preferences”→ “Preferences”:
Preferences > Layout > Layouts folder

This way the different layouts can be instantly changed to your current requirements. RealFlow's layout files carry the “LAY” extension and can be opened and read with any ASCII-capable text editor.
