The process involves four steps:

1.- Find the Host ID

You Normally, the License Activator will show the machine’s host ID as it opens at the top of the window.

If you need to find the host ID of the machine on which you want to activate your license. In the case of the floating licenses, it has to be the computer that is running the RLMfor a different machine (for example, in the case you are activating floating licenses), there are other ways of finding the host ID, as explained in the link below.

The Host ID is the MAC address of the first network card and it is composed of 12 alphanumeric characters. Here are some methods to find it: Find your host ID

2.- Set the host ID for your license at the portal

If the Host ID is not set, you’ll find an orange button to the right of your license. Click on it to set it.

It doesn’t matter if you enter all the characters without spaces, separated by spaces or colons, the system will understand them.

3.- Download the license file

Once you have assigned a Host ID to your license, you are ready to download it. The orange button has turned green. Click on it and the license file will be downloaded in a zip file:

4.- Place the license in the right folder

Once you have downloaded the license file, unzip it and copy-paste it in one of these folders depending on your system’s operating system and your license type:

NODE-LOCKED LICENSES

  • Windows: C:\users\<username>\Documents\realflow_cinema4d\license

  • MacOS: /Users/<username>/Documents/realflow_cinema4d/license

Once copied, Realflow | Cinema4D should be licensed without having to use the License Activator again.
