This window appears after pressing the “Filters...” button – this button is only visible when “Filter entries” is enabled. The following sections are a command reference. For a workflow description, please go to “Spreadsheet - Working with Filters”. A few basic notes:

  • A filter consists of one or more rules.
  • Rules can be combined freely and require a condition.
  • Operators are executed in this order: first “AND”, then “OR”.
  • Filters are not saved with a scene. To reuse them, export the filter list.

Selected filter (B)

Filter name

This is a field where the selected filter name appears. When you uncheck “Auto” you are able to enter a custom name.

Auto

Uncheck this option to make “Filter name” editable.

Channel column

Here you will see the channel you want to use for the filter process, e.g. velocity, neighbours, density etc.

Drop-down menu (three short lines)

This icon is only visible after a click on “Click to add a new rule”. The menu contains a node's available channels, and therefore the entries differ from node type to node type. Select a channel and it will appear in the “Channel” column.

Condition

The drop-down menu contains all available conditions for comparing a channel agains a given threshold (“Value”).

Value

A rule requires a threshold and that is what you add here.

Operator

An operator will only work between two rules and the last operator will be ignored. Available options are “AND” and “OR”. Operators are executed in this order: first “AND”, then “OR”.

Trash can

Click on the icon to delete a rule (not the filter). This action cannot be undone.

Click to add new rule

A new rule is created with this button.

Keep elements that DO NOT match the rules

A click on this checkbox inverts the filter's rules, indicated by a “NOT” tag under “Filter name”.

Copy

All currently visible rules will be copied to the clipboard

Paste

Paste the rules saved in the clipboard.
