This page will describe how to work with UV sets and textures in Maxwell Studio. For details on applying materials, and the texture picker please see the Materials List panel page and the Textures List and Texture Picker page respectively.

UV mapping

Select one or more objects and in the Attributes Panel: Object Attributes panel go to the UV sets section and click the New button. A new UV set will be added to the list (it will be added to all the objects in your selection). By default when you add a new UV set it is of the Cubic type. An object can have as many UV sets as you want, but normally 1 or two is enough.

You can move/rotate/scale a UV set in the viewport just like any other object or also from the numeric inputs in the UV sets section of the Attributes Panel: Object Attributes panel. To be able to see and manipulate UV sets in the viewport you have be in UV Sets selection mode:
