RLM is widely spread and many applications use it for licensing:.
Installing a New RLM
- It is only necessary to install install one instance instance of RLM on your entire network and and not on on each of the computers that will run RealFlow | Cinema 4D.
- The RLM installer comes bundled with RealFlow | Cinema 4D. Another method is to install a new RLM using a different port (see below). This method is recommended when the existing RLM is very old or if you want to keep your licenses separated..
- MISSING: It's long ago since I've installed the RLM... Is it an installer or just an EXE file or a shell script?
- MISSING: Where to find the RLM (c4d's plugins > nextlimit directory? )
- MISSING: Making the RLM a startup service (manually or automatically?)
Using An Existing RLM
To check if there is a RLM server running on your machine, open a browser and enter the following address: localhost:5054
...
- In this case,
...
- look for the installation directory of the already installed RLM. Then, the license file and the “nextlimit.set” file must be copied to the RLM's directory. Restart.
- The “nextlimit.set” file
...
- comes bundled with the RealFlow | Cinema 4D installer (MISSING: Where to find the RLM (c4d's plugins > nextlimit directory?)
